Though many of us associate the benefits of sorority membership with the college years, Sigma Kappa is a lifelong influence on its members. Sigma Kappa creates opportunities for women to become part of a worldwide sisterhood of successful, caring women; because growth and friendship are important to women throughout their lives, the Sigma Kappa experience doesn't end with graduation. Our bond continues to bring us together over the years, to share experiences, serve others, and have fun! With Sigma Kappa, college is the beginning of a sisterhood that lasts a lifetime.

Maintaining a high level of academic success is a tradition within Sigma Kappa and the Greek Community. Sigma Kappa offers a wide range of support and assistance to our sisters including: national and local scholarships, incentives and awards, time management and study skills workshops, established study hours and grade point average requirements.

Whether your interested in residence life, service or any of the other activities on campus Sigma Kappa can help you find your way.  VT's Panhellenic Council also provides opportunities for women from every chapter to get involved. Joining Sigma Kappa will help you develop leadership skills that will guide you throughout your college and professional life.

Service to the Community

One of the most gratifying aspects of Greek membership is the sense of satisfaction and pride that comes with involvement in community service and philanthropic projects.

Fund-raising events and hands-on service projects of many kinds are organized by individual chapters as well as the Greek community as a whole to benefit worthwhile charities. Working together on such projects not only benefits worthy causes, but also fosters personal growth and greater unity among Greek members.

Sigma Kappa provides a calendar of social activities including formals, date parties, homecoming, fraternity socials, and other special events.
